Until I Found the Lord…

One of the hardest things to learn in life is to have patience. People have a tendency to want things when they want them. Everything has to happen right away. Internet access, text messages, the new car – the list goes on and on. As we continue in our sermon series, “Beginnings: The Story of Genesis”, many of us may discover new insights to some of our most pressing questions. God reveals Himself and His truth to us when the time is right. It’s not easy to wait, to study and be patient. The Bible gives us encouragement on the subject of patience.

Isaiah 40:31

Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

James 5:7-8

Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

I cried and I cried, I cried all night long

I prayed and I prayed, I prayed all night long.

I cried and I cried, I prayed and I prayed, Lord,

Until I found the…Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

I FOUND THE LORD!
